Job summary

East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking an Operational Support Driver (bank) to safely collect and deliver Trust vehicles between locations and repairers. You will perform extended road tests and pre-departure checks to ensure vehicles are fit for emergency and non-emergency use.

Role involves reporting defects, safeguarding issued items like fuel cards, and coordinating with Fleet Admin and Workshops.

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver Trust vehicles between locations, workshops, and designated repairers.
• Carry out extended road tests to ensure vehicles are fit for service.
• Check vehicles before use: tyres, lights, coolant, and fuel.
• Report defects to Workshop Supervisor/Manager after road tests.
• Keep fuel card and mobile phone secure and report loss immediately.
• Maintain contact with Fleet Administrators and Workshop staff about availability.
• Operate across our diverse region, including the North Sea coast and major cities.
• Support 24/7 urgent care across multiple counties as part of EEAST.
