Job summary

East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking an Operational Support Driver (bank) to safely collect and deliver Trust vehicles between locations, workshops and designated repairers. You will conduct extended road tests to confirm vehicles are ready for emergency and non-emergency use, and maintain careful pre-drive checks, including tyres, lights, coolant and fuel, reporting any faults promptly.

This bank position supports service across our counties and involves flexible working.

Responsibilities

• Safe collection and delivery of Trust vehicles from Trust locations to workshops and other designated repairers.
• Carry out extended road tests of vehicles to ensure readiness for use by the Trust.
• Perform pre-drive checks including tyres, lights, coolant and fuel before any journey.
• Report any vehicle defects found during road tests to the Workshop Supervisor or Workshop Manager.
