Job summary

Orange Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Female Support Worker to assist a child in Merthyr Tydfil. You will provide day and night supervision, personal care, play, feeding, and activities as part of a small team led by the family and a Case Manager.

The role requires flexibility across 12-hour and 24-hour patterns, including nights and weekends, with enhanced DBS disclosure and full induction training provided. Driving preferred to access appointments and events.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children with high care needs.
• Ability to drive and have use of a car and be willing to drive the family van.
• Ability to work hours flexibly.

Responsibilities

• Support the child with play and entertainment, personal care, feeding, and night-time settling.
• Work day and night shifts as part of a small, dedicated team.
• Attend medical and therapy appointments and social events when required (school holidays patterns may vary).
• Maintain calm and patient approach under pressure; be flexible with shifts.
