Job summary

Protocol Education is currently seeking an enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant for supply roles in Middlesbrough. You will support early years settings with engaging activities and daily routines, working closely with teachers to prepare materials and manage the classroom.

This role offers flexible hours and the chance to gain experience across multiple EYFS settings. The ideal candidate will have TA experience, a caring approach, EYFS knowledge, and an enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in an EYFS setting.
• A caring and patient approach, with a passion for early childhood education.
• Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development principles.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of engaging activities aligned with the EYFS curriculum.
• Foster a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children.
• Collaborate with the class teacher to prepare learning materials and manage routines.
• Provide 1:1 or small group support to children, including those with additional needs.
• Encourage social and emotional development through play-based learning.
