Broadacres Housing Association is seeking a compassionate Support Worker for our Extra Care team in North Yorkshire. You will provide person-centred support to residents, helping them maintain independence and wellbeing across multiple schemes, while fostering a safe and welcoming environment.

Key duties include coordinating services, building relationships with residents and families, and promoting social inclusion.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a support, care or housing environment.
• Experience coordinating support from services and agencies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to analyse problems and identify practical solutions.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• IT literate and confident using digital systems and technologies.
• Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.

Responsabilités

• Provide person-centred support to residents, promoting independence and wellbeing.
• Develop positive relationships with residents, families and partner agencies.
• Support access to services, life skills and social activities.
• Welcome new residents and help them settle into their home and scheme.
• Coordinate support services and referrals to meet individual needs.
• Respond to enquiries, concerns and complaints professionally.
• Promote resident involvement and social inclusion within the scheme and community.
• Maintain confidential records in line with data protection.
• Conduct health and safety checks including monitoring and sensor/call equipment.
• Provide emergency response support and assist at other schemes when needed.
