Job summary

Portsmouth City Council is seeking a Youth Worker to deliver and support activities across youth clubs and projects for young people aged 11–25 (including those with learning difficulties). You will encourage participation, build relationships, listen to their needs, and signpost to other services as required.

The role involves evenings with some weekend work, working across different sites, and supporting learning needs provision under the Youth Club Manager. DBS enhanced check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people aged 11–25 years.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders.
• Flexible evenings and weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Lead activities in sport, dance, art, music, drama and cooking.
• Work across youth clubs and learning needs provision.
• Signpost to services and work with volunteers.
