Job summary

City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Flexible Cleaning Operative for Leith Academy. The role offers part-time, term-time and full-time hours with above-market terms in a facilities management setting.

The post involves cleaning various buildings, handling waste, and providing reliable, flexible service to keep premises clean and safe. PVG checks are required, and opportunities exist for progression within the team.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning roles preferred.
• Must be able to pass PVG checks.
• Flexibility to work shifts across mornings, evenings or days.

Responsibilities

• To empty litter and recycling bins.
• Clean all surfaces, internal glass, floors, furniture, fixtures and fittings.
• Clean sanitary areas, toilets and showers and replenish washroom supplies.
• Emergency and reactive cleaning as required.
• Care and cleanliness of equipment used.
• Deliver to cleaning specifications and cooperate with performance measures.
• May be required to act as a key holder for opening/closing buildings.
