The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Flexible Cleaning Operative for Leith Academy. This part‑time role offers 15 hours per week and a salary of £26,205–£26,525 pro rata.

The post is part of the Facilities Management team, delivering a cleaning service across our estate to keep buildings safe and clean for staff and learners. Shifts are flexible (morning/evening/daytime) with opportunities to progress to supervisory levels.

Qualifications

• Cleaning operative role with City of Edinburgh Council
• PVG scheme check required for role

Responsabilités

• To empty litter and recycling bins.
• The cleaning of all surfaces, internal glass, floors, furniture, fixtures and fittings within a group of buildings.
• The cleaning of all sanitary areas, toilets and showers and the replenishment of washroom consumables.
• Emergency and reactive cleaning as required, e.g. graffiti removal, spillages.
• Maintain care and cleanliness of equipment used.
• Support cleaning tasks across other buildings as required.
