The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Flexible Cleaning Operative at Longstone Primary School. You will join our Facilities Management team to deliver a reliable cleaning service across our estate, helping keep schools safe and clean for pupils and staff.

The role offers permanent terms with secure employment, flexible hours (15 hours per week, and options 10–36 hours), PVG checks and pension scheme. Training and development opportunities are available within a supportive council

Formación

• Experience in cleaning buildings and facilities.
• Ability to perform cleaning tasks to professional standards.
• Reliable and flexible when shift patterns change.

Responsabilidades

• Empty litter and recycling bins.
• Clean surfaces, glass, floors and fixtures in a group of buildings.
• Sanitary areas, toilets and showers; replenish washroom supplies.
• Handle emergency cleaning and spillages as needed.
• Care for equipment used in cleaning tasks.
• Assist with other cleaning tasks across buildings when required.
• Contribute to meeting cleaning specifications and performance checks.
