Job summary

Barking & Dagenham Council is seeking a Best Start Inclusion Support Worker to help 0-5 year olds and their families through the Best Start Family Hubs. You will support early identification of developmental and SEND needs and co-deliver Stay and Play sessions and home learning activities.

You will travel across the borough to deliver services, work mainly face-to-face in community settings, promote inclusive practice, and maintain accurate records in line with GDPR and safeguarding policies.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent experience.
• Organised with strong record-keeping and data handling.
• Confident using Microsoft Office applications.
• Committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Experience with safeguarding practices.

Responsibilities

• Co-deliver Stay and Play sessions and group activities.
• Identify developmental and SEND needs early.
• Support delivery of targeted interventions.
• Travel across Barking and Dagenham to community settings.
• Promote inclusive practice across services.
