Job summary

London Borough of Bexley is seeking a Best Start In Life Inclusion Practitioner to deliver universal and targeted interventions for families with children under 5, ensuring access to high-quality play and EYFS-aligned sessions. Qualifications

• Have experience of working directly with children (0-5) in community, early years or related settings.
• Have a track record of multi-agency collaboration with health, education and early years services
• Have experience of delivering interventions and measuring impact
• Have knowledge of child development and early identification of additional needs, including SEND
• Have a strong understanding of the Early Years Framework
• Be passionate about inclusion, early intervention and improving outcomes for children

Responsibilities

• Deliver universal and targeted, coordinated interventions to families with children under 5.
• Contribute to assessment, planning and intervention for families and work in partnership with parents and children providing information, advice, and guidance.
• Ensure access to good quality play opportunities and sessions meeting Early Years Foundation Stage requirements.
• Provide practical, hands-on support and guidance on issues such as children’s developmental needs, behaviour management, parenting strategies, healthy eating and developing the home learning environment.
• Attend to hub or office-based work at least 4 days a week and participate in the recruitment process as required.
