Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers in the United Kingdom. You will deliver letters and parcels, driving a Royal Mail van on your round and sometimes delivering on foot to complete routes. You must hold a full UK driving licence (max 6 points) and be physically fit to walk long distances, carrying a mailbag up to 16kg.

A driving assessment is required on start. Shifts vary and include Day, Dawn, Early, Evening, Late and Night with rates shown in the pay section.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Shifts vary and you must adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels as part of your round.
• Drive a Royal Mail van and complete parts of your route on foot.
• Ensure items are delivered securely and reach their destination on time.
• May handle election materials and certain items in line with standards.
