Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You will be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels on foot and by van, in all weather. Roles include driving a Royal Mail delivery van and handling items safely while meeting business standards.

Pay rates vary by shift, with potential to earn more on evenings and nights, and you’ll be required to pass a driving assessment when you start.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points, you’ll drive a Royal Mail van on your round.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps per day, get in and out of a van, and carry a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary; must be able to adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Drive your delivery round and deliver letters and parcels to the community.
• Deliver all items on your route with safety and care, including certain election materials.
• Represent Royal Mail with friendly, reliable service in all weather conditions.
