Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a General Cover Teacher (QTS) for day-to-day supply in Castle Cary. Roles are fully flexible with no planning or marking required, and you’ll operate from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, with potential extension to 4:30 pm.

Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3/KS4 in a friendly secondary setting. The position offers a straightforward, student-focused environment in which you can manage teaching with a strong emphasis on work-life balance and reliability.

Qualifications

• QTS or QTLS is essential.
• Strong classroom management and adaptability across different subject areas.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Classroom delivery across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with behavior management.
• Zero planning & marking; resources and instructions provided in advance.
• Cover a range of subjects throughout the week in a supportive school environment.
• Adaptability to transition between different subject areas as required.
