Job summary

Wirral Council is seeking Service Support Workers to assist adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and complex health needs. You will provide high‑quality support, help individuals achieve personal goals, and enable participation in meaningful community activities across day service hubs and community settings.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people in a care setting is desirable.
• Health and Social Care Level 2 or willingness to work toward it is desirable.
• Experience supporting adults with complex health needs or behaviours of concern is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support people with personal care, health and wellbeing needs.
• Deliver engaging activities to promote independence, choice and inclusion.
• Encourage individuals to develop life skills and participate in their local communities.
• Build positive relationships with families, carers and partner organisations.
• Contribute to care and support planning with a person-centred approach.
• Support fundraising events, social activities and community engagement opportunities.
