Job summary

Cheshire West and Chester Council is hiring a Support Worker in Northwich to provide person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities, autism, dementia and elderly needs within day, respite services, and in their own homes.

You will support people to maximise independence, attend clubs and social activities, and ensure accurate records while working with a dedicated night staff and day team. DBS check and training are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Commitment to people with dementia, learning and other disabilities.
• Willing to undertake personal care and manual handling tasks.
• Able to support people in the community (shopping, clubs, activities).

Responsibilities

• Provide dignity and care to maximise independence and put the person at the centre of care.
• Assist with dressing, feeding and personal care; handle finances and medications.
• Support people in the community and social activities; access clubs and groups.
• Keep accurate records and follow care plans; safeguard adults at all times.
• Work flexibly on early, late, and weekend shifts as part of a team.
