Job summary

GSL Education is seeking reliable and confident Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools in Spalding and the surrounding area. You will deliver pre-planned lessons and supervise classes of 11–16-year-olds, helping them stay engaged and on task.

New to education? We offer training, guidance and on-the-job experience to build your confidence, develop classroom skills and gain valuable experience across local schools.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
• Confident, reliable and comfortable working with secondary-aged students.
• Good communication and classroom management.
• Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries.
• Willingness to learn and develop within an education environment.
• Ability to travel to schools across Spalding and surrounding area.
• Enhanced DBS Update Service or willingness to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons to students aged 11–16.
• Supervise classes and ensure students remain engaged with their work.
• Support students with their learning and manage classroom behaviour.
• Follow school policies and procedures.
• Build experience working in different secondary school environments.
• Flexible opportunities ranging from occasional daily supply to more regular work.
