Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools across Grimsby and Immingham. The role involves delivering pre-planned lessons to students aged 11-16, managing behaviour and supporting learning on an ad-hoc basis.

Ideal candidates will have experience with children or young people and SEN/challenging behaviour, are flexible across schools, and can start from 7:00am for same-day bookings, with potential for longer-term or permanent opportunities.

Qualifications

• Has experience working with children or young people.
• Has experience supporting students with SEN and/or challenging behaviour.
• Is confident managing a classroom and delivering pre-planned work.
• Understands safeguarding in a school environment.
• Is reliable, flexible and confident working across different schools.
• Lives within a reasonable driving distance of Grimsby or Immingham.
• Can commit to being available for work from 7:00am onwards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons to students aged 11-16.
• Support students with their learning and manage classroom behaviour.
• Work across local secondary schools on an ad-hoc basis.
• Ideally be available 3-5 days per week.
• Be available to accept work from around 7:00am for same-day bookings.
• Be ready to arrive at school around 8:15-8:30am.
• Build relationships with schools and potentially secure a more regular working pattern.
• There may also be opportunities to move into a long-term or permanent position.
