Job summary

Step Teachers is seeking Cover Supervisors to provide day-to-day supply across schools in South Molton and nearby areas. You will deliver pre-prepared lessons, manage classrooms, and support pupils to maintain continuity in learning.

Genuine passion for education and flexibility to work across different age groups with DBS checks or willingness to obtain one are essential. Weekly PAYE pay with exclusive benefits is provided through the agency.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills as a Cover Supervisor.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and maintain continuity of learning.
• Flexible, reliable, and confident in managing different age groups.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• A genuine passion for education and supporting young learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons to pupils in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe learning environment.
• Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and behaviour management.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and classroom activity.
• Support pupils with their learning and encourage engagement.
• Adapt to different school environments and year groups as required.
