Job summary

Engage Education is seeking a Cover Supervisor for Basildon and surrounding areas to support local secondary schools on a flexible supply basis. You will cover lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure pupils complete set work.

No prior cover supervisor experience is required, but a degree is essential and experience with young people is welcomed. You can choose part-time or full-time availability, with working hours aligning to the school day.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree.
• Experience with young people or youth work is desirable.
• Ability to adapt to different classroom settings and behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils and ensure completion of pre-planned work.
• Manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Assist pupils with questions and provide feedback to staff.
• Follow school policies on safeguarding and behaviour.
