The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Cleaning Operative at Wester Hailes High School. The role involves cleaning a group of school buildings, keeping surfaces and facilities clean and safe, with PVG checks and pre-employment screening. Qualifications

• PVG Scheme check required or PVG update; pre-employment checks
• Flexible hours to suit (evening or daytime) and school-term sessional hours may apply

Responsibilities

• Empty litter and recycling bins.
• Clean all surfaces, internal glass, floors, furniture, fixtures and fittings within a group of buildings.
• Clean sanitary areas, toilets and showers; replenish washroom consumables.
• Carry out emergency and reactive cleaning as required (graffiti removal, spillages).
• Care for and clean equipment used in duties.
• Support cleaning tasks across other buildings when required.
• Deliver cleaning to specification and cooperate with performance measurement.
