The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a part-time Cleaning Operative for Craigmillar Castle Park Cemetery & Waiting Room on a fixed-term contract until 30/04/2027. The role involves cleaning designated buildings, emptying bins, and ensuring clean, safe environments.

Working pattern is 2-3pm Mon-Wed and 1-3pm Thu-Fri, with flexibility for additional hours. Regular duties include replenishing washroom consumables, handling emergency cleaning, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning and janitorial duties.
• Ability to work in a team and follow cleaning schedules.
• Compliance with PVG scheme and related checks.

Responsabilités

• Empty litter and recycling bins across assigned buildings.
• Clean all surfaces, floors, and sanitary areas per standard procedures.
• Restock washroom consumables and maintain equipment.
• Carry out emergency/relief cleaning as required and support other buildings as needed.
• Adhere to cleaning specifications and participate in performance measurements.
