The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Cleaning Operative for Carrick Knowe Primary. Salary £26,205 - £26,525 pro-rata for part-time and sessional, 16 hours per week across 40 weeks. Duties include cleaning and maintaining safe, clean learning environments with flexible hours and PVG-check requirements.

Qualifications

• This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the PVG Scheme; pre-employment PVG checks required.
• Flexible hours (10 to 36 hours) and sessional hours may be available.
• Training and development are a focus and staff are valued.

Responsibilities

• To empty litter and recycling bins.
• Clean all surfaces, internal glass, floors, furniture, fixtures and fittings within buildings.
• Sanitary areas, toilets and showers; replenish washroom consumables.
• Emergency and reactive cleaning as required (graffiti removal, spillages).
• Care for cleaning equipment used in duties.
• Support cleaning tasks across other buildings when required.
• Deliver to cleaning specifications and cooperate with performance measurement.
