Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting Class 1 (C&E Drivers) on behalf of EVRi Hub, Barnsley. Hours: choose your own days and start times within a 2-hour window. Site operates 24/7.

Role involves trunking between depots, no manual handing, and precision reversing. You may cover Class 2 when needed. Pre-trip and post-trip inspections are required to ensure roadworthiness and safety.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement.
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence.
• Successful completion of assessment, theory and practical.
• Excellent communication skills and safety mindset.
• Understanding of WTD legislation.

Responsibilities

• Trunking between depots, ensuring timely and safe delivery of parcels.
• No manual handing.
• Ability to drive class 2 when cover is needed for holiday.
• Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle.
• Adhere to traffic laws, regulations and company policies.
• Communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
