Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting Class 2 (Cat C) drivers on behalf of EVRi Barnsley for ongoing work in Barnsley (S74). Roles available as full-time or part-time with start times from 11pm to 1am, involving trunking between depots and yard reversing.

You will perform vehicle inspections, comply with safety rules, and coordinate with dispatch to meet delivery schedules. Pay rates start at £14.43 per hour after 10pm (PAYE) and £16.16 per hour with holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (C+E) is required.
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).

Responsibilities

• Trunking and long-distance driving between depots.
• Reversing in the yard and precise vehicle manoeuvring.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for roadworthiness.
• Adhere to traffic laws and company policies for safety.
• Communicate with dispatch and logistics to ensure timely deliveries.
