Job summary

Academics is seeking a motivated Secondary Chemistry Teacher for flexible daily supply, short-term, and long-term roles across Chester starting this September. You will plan engaging Chemistry and General Science lessons for KS3/KS4, with optional KS5 opportunities for specialists.

Responsibilities include safe lab supervision, strong classroom management, and adapting to multiple science departments as needed.

Qualifications

• UK QTS and degree in Chemistry or related discipline.
• Strong command of the UK National Curriculum for Chemistry and General Science (KS3/KS4).
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver dynamic Chemistry and General Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities for specialists).
• Cover Chester across daily, short-term, and long-term blocks.
• Supervise safe practical laboratory work and enforce lab safety protocols.
• Maintain high standards of student behaviour and a structured learning environment.
