Job summary

Based in Woking, Berkeley Scott seeks a Chef Manager for temporary agency work across school kitchens and hospitality sites. You will oversee daily kitchen operations, lead catering teams and ensure high service standards.

You should have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a chef management role, with strong leadership and organisational skills, and the right to work in the UK. An enhanced DBS certificate and a valid driving licence are preferred, though not essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Chef Manager or in a similar kitchen management role.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Experience in schools or contract catering is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Managing the day‑to‑day running of busy kitchens
• Leading, motivating and supporting kitchen teams
• Planning and delivering high‑quality, nutritious meals
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene, health and safety and allergen standards
• Managing stock, ordering and minimising waste
