Job summary

Craven College is seeking a part-time Catering & Retail Assistant in Skipton to support daily service, front-of-house operations and stock control. You will help with food and beverage service, till handling and ensuring customer satisfaction as part of a wider team.

The role requires GCSE English and Maths and catering experience, with emphasis on reliability and digital skills. A DBS check is required and hours are 30 per week.

Qualifications

• Qualified to Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE A*-C or equivalent).
• NVQ Level 1 Catering & Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Previous basic food preparation/catering service/retail experience.
• Experience with Epos till systems and general computer use.

Responsibilities

• Work flexibly as part of a team across Catering & Retail Service.
• Provide high level of customer service during day-to-day operations.
• Operate the till and handle cash/credit & debit cards per procedures.
• Assist with stock delivery, unpacking, shelving and stock rotation.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen and dining areas.
• Liaise with the Catering Supervisor and Head Chef to maximise sales and customer satisfaction.
