Job summary

Junior Adventures Group is seeking a casual Breakfast & After School Playworker at Aldryngton Primary School in Earley, Reading RG6. This casual/bank role offers flexible hours with shifts to cover sickness, holidays and busy periods.

Hours up to 22.5 per week during term time, and up to 40 hours per week during school holidays. DBS check required; references and identity checks apply. Salary £8–£12.71 per hour with holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check required.
• References (two satisfactory, including most recent employer).
• Right to work documentation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fun, engaging activities including sports, games, arts & crafts.
• Create a safe, inclusive environment for every child.
• Supervise children and encourage participation and positive behaviour.
• Set up and pack away activities and play spaces.
• Prepare and provide refreshments while maintaining high hygiene standards.
• Follow safeguarding, health & safety and company procedures.
• Complete accurate sign-in and sign-out procedures.
• Maintain accident, incident and other required documentation.
• Communicate professionally with children, parents, colleagues and school staff.
• Carry out basic equipment and safety checks.
• Support first aid and health & safety procedures where required.
• Help children have fun, stay active and enjoy their time at the club.
