Job summary

Smiths News in Doncaster is seeking a Merchandiser to ensure in-store book displays are visually appealing and well stocked. This flexible, part-time role requires strong communication and organisational skills, with responsibilities across replenishment, planograms, and promotional setup.

Qualifications

• Previous merchandising experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Good communication and organisational skills are important.
• Ability to work flexibly and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment and display: move stock from warehouse to shop floor and keep displays neat.
• Planogram compliance: implement layouts and visual briefs accurately.
• Promotional execution: set up materials, price labels and POS displays.
• Reporting & communication: use a device to capture activity and feedback.
• Relationship building: liaise with store managers and colleagues.
