Job summary

Compass Community in Nottingham is seeking Bank Support Workers to help children in care. You will be part of a team that supports young people, builds self-esteem, and helps with daily activities, hobbies, and education in a safe, non-judgemental environment.

No prior experience is required as comprehensive induction and ongoing training are provided, along with DBS checks and references as part of appointment. A valid driving licence is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Is 22 years of age or above (to meet Ofsted regulations).
• Is caring, compassionate and able to build positive relationships with others.
• Has a valid manual driving licence.
• Can remain calm in challenging situations.
• Previous experience is not essential for this role. You will receive a comprehensive induction and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• You will work closely with children and young people in care, putting them at the centre of everything you do.
• You will create positive relationships with them, meeting their needs and always safeguarding them.
• Using your experience and skills, you will assist with the care of our children and young people, supporting them in all aspects of their lives including activities, hobbies and educational pursuits.
• Consistency and organisation skills are key: you will create timetables and set boundaries and expectations for the children.
