Spectrum Community Health CIC is seeking a Bank Healthcare Support Worker to join a nurse bank delivering compassionate, hands-on care. You will gain diverse clinical exposure across multiple areas, working within a Category B local prison to support patients through their healthcare journey.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in health and social care or equivalent.
• NHS Care Certificate or relevant clinical experience.
• Student in final year of Registered Nursing Degree.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support medication safety through medication rounds and controlled drugs verification.
• Deliver primary care services including phlebotomy, ECGs, smoking cessation reviews, and sexual health screenings.
• Monitor detox patients with regular observations to support safe care.
• Register new patients, take baseline observations, and identify immediate health needs.
• Lead public health initiatives like DBST to support blood-borne virus elimination.
• Provide holistic care and social care packages within enhanced primary care units.
• Conduct welfare checks and wing-based reviews to reach patients in need.
• Support patients with social care requirements in the inpatient setting.
