Job Title: Cook (Flexible Bank)

Location: Wallsend, Tyne & Wear

Pay: £12.60 per hour plus benefits

Join our flexible bank at Home Group and enjoy the benefits of choosing your shifts. We are looking for a Cook responsible for all kitchen duties at our extra care service, including food ordering, menu planning, and maintaining health and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee kitchen management as directed by our Support Coordinator and Service Manager.
2. Prepare and serve three meals daily, along with tea and snacks.
3. Order supplies, maintain stock levels, and record expenditure.
4. Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen and pantry areas.
5. Cater to diverse dietary needs and cultural preferences, ensuring meals are nutritious.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous catering experience.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of confidentiality.
• Ability to relate sensitively to vulnerable people.
• Flexibility to work short notice and pick shifts.
