About the Role

As a Cook on our bank, you'll be responsible for all kitchen duties at our extra care service. This includes ordering food, menu planning, and maintaining health and safety standards. You'll prepare meals catering to diverse dietary needs and cultural preferences.

Typical Shift Responsibilities

• Overseeing kitchen management as directed by our Support Coordinator and Service Manager.
• Preparing and serving three meals a day, plus tea and snacks.
• Ordering supplies, maintaining stock levels, and recording expenditures.
• Ensuring cleanliness of the kitchen and related areas.
• Supporting our customers with varied support needs in our older persons service.

What You Bring

• Previous catering experience.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Understanding of confidentiality.
• Ability to relate to vulnerable people with sensitivity.
• Flexibility to work at short notice and pick your shifts.

You will join our passionate team including Senior Client Services Manager Sarah Hill and Client Services Manager Jessica Holman. We pride ourselves on quality food and recent improvements in our catering services. We foster a supportive environment with regular catch-ups (and always coffee, tea, and biscuits!).

Job Details

• Ability to use technology for stock updates, ordering, and record keeping.
• An enhanced DBS check is required; we cover the cost.
