Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work on an ad-hoc basis in secondary schools across Blackpool, Lancashire. You will supervise classes during short-term absences and help students stay on task with the set work.

The role suits graduates, aspiring teachers, or those with experience with young people seeking flexible, local opportunities with ongoing consultant support.

Qualifications

• Be confident working with secondary-aged students.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Adaptable, reliable and professional.
• Experience working with young people in any capacity.
• A degree or relevant experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Delivering pre-set lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Ensuring students stay focused on the work set by the class teacher.
• Providing support and encouragement to pupils during lessons.
• Following school policies and procedures at all times.
• Working on a flexible basis to suit your availability.
