Job summary

eTeach UK Limited is seeking flexible Flexi Nursery Practitioners to join our group of nurseries. Work across Wishford’s day nurseries with shifts arranged around availability. This 0 hour contract for 12 months offers a varied, nurturing role in early years settings.

The role requires EYFS understanding and delivery of age-appropriate activities for children aged 0-5, with a focus on creating stimulating environments and maintaining safety and safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Experience planning inspiring activities for children aged 0-5.
• Completed Early Years Level qualification (Level 2 or above) (not essential).
• Confident in creating a stimulating environment for confident learners.
• Excellent communicator with parents and children.
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities focusing on each child’s interests.
• Maintain a safe, stimulating environment and oversee activity implementation.
• Support the room leader and promote nursery policies on safeguarding, health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a range of age-appropriate activities aligned with EYFS.
• Create engaging learning environments and monitor child development.
• Record progress and update development records as needed.
• Collaborate with staff to uphold nursery ethos and safeguarding standards.
• Assist with toilet routines and classroom housekeeping as required.

Hours, Salary & Benefits

• Hours: Based at one of, or between Wishford’s Day Nurseries, this is a flexible role. 0 hour contract. 12 months fixed term.
• Salary: Up to £13.45 per hour depending on skills and experience.

Skills and Responsibilities

• An excellent understanding of the EYFS curriculum
• Experience in planning inspiring activities for children aged 0-5 to explore and enjoy
• Have a completed Early Years Level qualification (Level 2 or above) (not essential)
• Be confident in creating a stimulating environment that enables children to become confident learners
• Excellent communicator with the ability to quickly build relationships with the children and their parents
• To plan and deliver a range of age-appropriate activities focusing on each individual child’s interests
• To ensure that a safe, stimulating environment is maintained for children while overseeing the implementation of activities
• To work alongside the staff team to ensure that the Nursery’s ethos is being fulfilled
• To work with all staff in promoting good staff practices across the Nursery and always ensure the safety of the children and their environment
• To liaise with and fully support your room leader
• To ensure that all child development records are updated, where applicable
• To discreetly attend to young children’s toileting needs
• To agree to the policies and procedures and carry them out to the best of your ability
• To adhere to all nursery policies on safeguarding, health and safety and food hygiene etc.
