Job summary

N Family Club, based in Walthamstow, is seeking a Flexi Educator to cover nurseries with flexible hours and lead its play-based learning approach. You will support children across age groups, maintain routines, and build trusting relationships with families.

Reporting to a designated supervisor, you’ll join a team committed to safeguarding, high-quality early years education, and a positive, energetic workplace culture. Competitive pay and perks await.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in an educational setting (nursery practitioner/nursery nurse/early years educator).
• Desirable safeguarding/child protection training and willingness to refresh it regularly.
• Genuine passion for education and changing children's lives.

Responsibilities

• Cover nurseries as needed with flexible start and end times.
• Lead the 'learning through play' ethos and our N Curriculum.
• Follow daily routines ensuring smooth transitions between meals, naps and play.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with parents.
• Promote child welfare and follow safeguarding procedures.

You’ll bring flexibility and energy to your work, helping the nursery cover varied shift patterns to provide the best education to children in all age groups. Your key responsibilities

• Cover our nurseries when we need you, being flexible on start and end times.
• Lead our ‘learning through play’ ethos and our N Curriculum with care and flair.
• Follow our daily routine and ensure smooth transitions from mealtimes to naptimes to playtimes.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with parents.
• Promote child welfare and ensure safeguarding procedures are always followed.

Our Flexi Educators should have...

• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting (ideally as a nursery practitioner, nursery nurse, apprentice, or early years educator).
• Relevant safeguarding/child protection training (desirable) and be willing to update that training regularly.
• A genuine passion for education and changing the lives of children.
• A positive, glass-half-full outlook.
• Bags of drive and motivation with a ‘make it happen’ attitude!
• A solutions-driven approach to problems.
• A love for customer service.
