We are seeking passionate, caring, and dynamic School Support Workers enthusiastic about working with pupils with additional learning needs. Experience or a demonstrable commitment to supporting pupils with such needs is essential.

Job Purpose

Support children and young people with complex health needs in a purpose-built environment, assisting with personal care, independent living, and delivering high-quality, personalized services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist young people in achieving positive outcomes and participating in the community, including social networks, education, employment, and leisure activities.
  • Support hobbies and interests through one-to-one or group activities, with or without other staff or volunteers.
  • Maintain records and support the development and updating of individual care and support plans.
  • Involve individuals in risk assessments, promoting active and meaningful lives with appropriate challenges.
  • Safeguard health, well-being, and safety, reporting concerns promptly.
  • Provide personal care and support respecting dignity and preferences, including delegated healthcare tasks like medication administration.
  • Contribute to capacity assessments and best interest decisions.
  • Respect and facilitate individuals’ spiritual, cultural, and religious choices, supporting community access.
