Salutem Care and Education are excited to announce that we are currently seeking experienced Flexi-Bank Support Workers to join our team. What will I do as a Flexi-Bank Support Worker?
  • Complete in-depth induction training and all mandatory training, including safeguarding modules and Wales induction framework.
  • Follow Salutem policies and procedures, including those concerning health and safety.
  • Support individual young people with complex health, physical, and learning needs within the children’s home.
  • Attend to the daily needs of young people and support their access and participation in activities, including evenings and weekends.
  • Provide high-quality personal care and promote independence.
  • Encourage socialisation and inclusion, helping young people reach personal outcomes.
  • Understand and accommodate young people's communication needs.
  • Create a safe and stimulating environment for young people.
  • Promote the health and well-being of young people.
  • Participate in handover and key worker meetings, liaising with colleagues and management.
  • Carry out key worker responsibilities for individual young people, including those on short breaks.
  • Work with external agencies and professionals such as social workers, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the home, schools, and outside agencies.
  • Maintain effective contact with parents and guardians, ensuring proper information sharing.
  • Be reliable and flexible, using initiative in decision-making.
  • Attend all relevant training to ensure safe practice.
  • Keep the home tidy and undertake sleeping-in duties.
  • Report to management and perform additional duties as required.
  • Proactively assess and report risks.

Willingness to work towards the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (England) or an equivalent qualification is required.
