Fleet Workshop Technician

Assignment Type: Temporary, ongoing basis via Hays

Location: Chichester

Working Environment: Site based

Pay Type: Competitive hourly pay rate

As a Fleet Workshop Technician, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for maintaining and repairing fleet vehicles to high standards.

What Awaits You?

  • Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, electronics, and hybrid/electric systems.
  • Act as a technical expert, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Promote safety and quality standards; participate in manufacturer training.
  • Use diagnostic software and tools for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with teams and customers about technical issues.
  • Address customer concerns to ensure satisfaction.
  • Document repairs and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute to process improvements and team training.
  • Maintain diagnostic tools and equipment, monitor key performance indicators.
  • Perform pre-delivery inspections, vehicle preparations, and customer repairs.
  • Aim for continuous improvement in efficiency and quality.
  • Handle fleet vehicle maintenance, health checks, and quality control.
  • Assist with vehicle upgrades and conversions for sales and events.

What Should You Bring?

  • University degree in mechanical or automotive engineering, or equivalent.
  • Significant industry experience as a Master Technician or similar role.
  • Qualified and certified to Blitz 4 AUS / HV-3 Level or Hybrid/Electric Vehicle High Voltage.
  • Technical knowledge of vehicle systems.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools and software.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience working safely with high voltage systems.
