Job summary

GBJ FedEx Express UK Transportation Limited is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Technician in Milton. You will perform service and repairs on the company fleet, keeping vehicles safe and compliant, and prepare units for annual MOT testing. A valid LGV C&E license and expertise with automotive equipment are essential.

Qualifications

• LGV C&E license (class one) required.
• Knowledge of automotive equipment and testing/troubleshooting tools.
• Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy components.
• Experience with welding and basic DC electrical troubleshooting.
• Valid driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Performing service and repair of company fleet in line with planned maintenance schedules to ensure our vehicles and trailers are safe, legal and fit for duties
• Completing signed service and inspection records
• Completing defect reports and associated paperwork to comply with legal requirements
• Preparing vehicles and trailers for annual MOT testing to ensure first time pass
• Performing ad-hoc vehicle repairs, investigating and rectifying vehicle defects
