Job summary

FedEx Express UK Transportation Limited is seeking a fully skilled Heavy Goods Vehicle Maintenance Technician Advanced for our Exeter Vehicle Maintenance Unit. You will perform service and maintenance to ensure fleet safety, legality and reliability in line with schedules.

The role offers 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with shift hours flexible. Base pay is £24.93 per hour with additional premiums for evening and night hours.

Qualifications

• Fully skilled with LGV C&E licence and City & Guilds parts 1 & 2.
• Experience with automotive testing equipment and basic welding/electrical troubleshooting.
• Must possess valid driving license and previous similar-role experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete service and inspection records.
• Prepare vehicles and trailers for MOT testing to ensure 1st time pass.
• Perform ad-hoc repairs and rectify defects.
• Safely use tools and equipment; maintain housekeeping.
