Job summary

Adler and Allan in Plymouth is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to service, maintain and repair our light commercial vehicles. You will use Texa and Bosch diagnostic tools, complete accurate service records and ensure safety and compliance across the fleet.

The role is permanent and full-time, offering a company van, competitive pay and a benefits package. You will work in a collaborative workshop, delivering high quality workmanship and supporting fleet efficiency.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar Vehicle Technician role.
• Experience servicing and repairing light commercial vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding experience using Texa and/or Bosch systems.
• Experience working with Ford and Peugeot vehicles.
• Confident using tablets, mobile devices and computer systems to complete job cards, service records, inspection reports and workshop paperwork accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment, including Texa and Bosch systems.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and identify repair requirements.
• Complete all work in line with manufacturer guidelines and company standards.
• Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports and job documentation.
• Ensure vehicles meet all safety and compliance requirements.
• Support workshop efficiency by working independently and collaboratively with colleagues.
