Job summary

Ocado Logistics is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Technician in Walton-on-the-Hill to maintain a safe, efficient fleet. You will perform routine mechanical and electrical repairs, install vehicle technology and conduct health checks to keep the delivery network moving. The role requires a current UK driving licence and practical LGV experience.

Qualifications

• Current UK Driving Licence is essential for occasional travel.
• Proven mechanical expertise with vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Diagnostic fault-finding and electrical repair abilities.
• Experience with LGV equipment and related components.
• Familiarity with Safe Systems of Work and HS requirements.
• Basic IT literacy for parts ordering and documentation.
• Preferred: MOT inspection experience; industry qualification; body repair experience; FMS experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute mechanical repairs including electrical work and defect repairs.
• Perform installations and removals of vehicle technology (telematics, cameras).
• Conduct periodic health checks and assess refrigeration unit defects.
• Maintain site equipment and small LGV repairs.
• Manage spare parts ordering, stock control and cost records.
