Job summary

Culina is seeking a Fleet Standards Manager to ensure a safe, compliant LGV fleet with maximum asset availability. The role involves leading supplier performance, managing costs, and maintaining budgets while aligning with Culina Group brand guidelines and manufacturers’ best practices.

You will support depots to deliver operational excellence and drive continuous improvement. With strong LGV knowledge, IRTE/City & Guilds qualifications, and a track record in fleet management, you will influence

• IRTE or City & Guilds qualification held.
• Strong leadership and data analysis abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fleet repairs are carried out to best practice.
• Manage weekly/periodic costs from suppliers and identify opportunities.
• Maintain accurate financial reporting and control overspends.
• Support transport teams to maximise fleet availability.
• Carry out maintenance standards and compliance audits.
• Collaborate with manufacturers, suppliers and depots to deliver service levels.
• Lead internal and external meetings with clear direction.

Job description

The main purpose of the role is to ensure a safe and compliant LGV Fleet with maximum asset availability whilst also following Culina Group brand guidelines as well as manufacturers best practise, allowing Culina Group depots to deliver a first-rate service to our customers. Part of this role also ensures the Service Providers carrying out the work to keep the fleet compliant are working in a Safe and Legal environment Working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hour week. Key Duties of a Fleet Standards Manager:

• Working as a key member of the Management team to ensure fleet repairs are carried out at best practice.
• Credibility and track record of managing suppliers either in a fleet engineering management role or where fleet maintenance has been an important aspect of their remit.
• Manage the weekly/periodic costs from suppliers, challenge any areas of opportunities.
• Ensure financial reports are managed and accurate to budgets, any overspends are mitigated and detail availability to support is available.
• Supporting the Transport teams during peak periods to ensure fleet availability to be able to deliver operational excellence.
• Carry out Maintenance Standards and Compliance Audits to ensure a safe and legal operation across suppliers and LGV VMU workshops.
• Supporting fleet changes in the business, bringing in new assets and decommissioning old fleet.
• Collaborating cross functionality with our fleet manufacturers, maintenance suppliers and distribution centres to deliver great service levels.
• Able to lead and facilitate internal and external meetings providing clear direction and next steps.
  LGV technical knowledge.
• Experience of communicating effectively and influencing suppliers and colleagues.
• IRTE or City and Guilds qualified.
• Solid leadership ability to engage, coach, motivate and develop others to achieve results.
• Able to analyse data Interrogating our Fleet Maintenance platform.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Transport Manager CPC an advantage.
• LGV 1 Driving Licence preferable.
• IT skills to include excel and Microsoft office/word.
