Job summary

Aptus Utilities Ltd. in Leyland is seeking a versatile Assistant on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract to support depot administration, yard operations and logistics. You will help ensure the efficient movement of fleet assets and timely delivery of site materials across regional depots.

The role is hands-on and outdoors-friendly, requiring adaptability, a proactive attitude, and the ability to learn bespoke systems and Excel-based compliance processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Thrives in a busy environment with shifting priorities.
• Comfortable using Excel and bespoke systems for compliance data.
• Willing to work outdoors in the yard and deliver to sites.
• Able to travel frequently across regional depots and sites.
• Hold a valid UK driving licence to support asset movements.
• Experience in administration, fleet, logistics or transport.

Responsibilities

• Open and prepare depots for daily operations, unlock gates and review bookings.
• Transport materials and assets between depots and construction sites.
• Carry out yard inspections and manage vehicle and asset security.
• Maintain fleet and asset records, including tracking and insurance.
• Coordinate MOTs, servicing and maintenance to ensure fleet availability.
• Support tachograph, mileage, and asset registrations on internal systems.
