Job summary

Chime Housing is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to own our fleet of approximately 100 vehicles, ensuring safety, compliance and cost-effectiveness while keeping vehicles available to support frontline teams.

You will coordinate servicing, MOTs and repairs, monitor costs and telematics data, manage suppliers and contracts, and drive continuous improvement to deliver reliable services to customers.

Qualifications

• Experience managing an operational vehicle fleet (ideally vans/light commercial vehicles).
• Experience working with vehicle maintenance providers, lease/hire suppliers or fleet management systems.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, servicing, MOT requirements, insurance and accident management.
• Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret fleet, fuel, telematics and cost data.
• Experience monitoring budgets, analysing performance and producing management reports.
• Strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities, suppliers and compliance.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management.
• Good IT skills, including spreadsheets, reporting tools and fleet management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage performance, availability and utilisation of a fleet of ~100 vehicles.
• Coordinate servicing, MOTs, inspections, repairs and defect management for compliance and roadworthiness.
• Monitor fleet costs, fuel usage, telematics and supplier performance; identify efficiency opportunities.
• Lead on fleet compliance, accident management, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
