Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Fleet Supervisor in Chatham, Kent to coordinate fleet resources, lead drivers and ensure contractual commitments are delivered safely, efficiently and compliantly. The role sits onsite with a 37-hour week, Monday to Friday, supporting a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence.

You will manage fleet records, DVSA requirements, and stay aligned with health, safety and environmental standards while developing operations performance across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• EU Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Regulations knowledge
• Experience in transport, fleet or logistics operations
• Ability to manage priorities and deadlines in fast-paced environments
• Demonstrated people management and team leadership
• Strong customer focus with stakeholder relationships

Responsibilities

• Coordinate fleet resources, manage drivers and ensure contractual commitments are delivered safely and compliantly
• Manage and update fleet administration systems and transport records in line with DVSA rules
• Support and supervise a team of drivers to achieve contractual obligations
• Maintain compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and support contract objectives
