Job summary

Greggs is seeking a Fleet Manager (South) to oversee daily fleet availability across depots in the south region, with flexibility on location. You will lead with a strong focus on safety and compliance, coordinating with suppliers and site teams to optimise uptime.

This full-time role offers up to £50,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus a robust benefits package including pension, private medical insurance, income protection, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• HGV technical background with dealer/workshop knowledge.
• Experience managing a vehicle fleet.
• Experience with vehicle engineering and technologies.
• Strong, influential communication skills.
• Holder of CPC National Road Haulage Operations.
• Organised with good planning ability.
• Full driving license.
• Enthusiastic with focus on safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily fleet availability for depots in the south region.
• Analyse and minimise operational risks to ensure legal compliance.
• Develop vehicle specs to reduce risk and environmental impact.
• Manage suppliers with regular review meetings for cost control and service levels.
• Introduce new assets and dispose of older assets to maintain age/use policy.
• Ensure maintenance of manual handling equipment to schedule and standards.
• Support site teams to achieve fleet revenue budgets and efficiency.
• Work on projects to improve fleet sustainability and reliability.
• Oversee technical asset audits of the fleet and equipment.
