Job summary

MAG Airports is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Manager to oversee the East Midlands Airport operational vehicle fleet, from snow removal equipment to ambulifts and cars. You will lead a team of five, ensure maintenance, repairs, testing and servicing are planned and delivered safely and efficiently.

Applicants should have a relevant qualification (NVQ Level 3 in vehicle maintenance or equivalent), workshop experience, proven leadership, and a clean UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in vehicle maintenance or equivalent essential.
• Experience in a workshop environment.
• Experience in leading a team.
• IOSH Managing Safely (desirable).
• Internal Quality Systems Auditing or equivalent.
• Full clean UK Driving Licence.
• Class 1 or 2 HGV Licence would be an advantage.
• Flexible to overtime and on-call requirements.
• Good written and oral communication.
• Microsoft Office IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance of the operational vehicle fleet at East Midlands Airport, including snow removal equipment, ambulifts and cars.
• Lead a team of five; plan, assign and monitor maintenance, repairs, testing and servicing.
• Ensure health and safety requirements are followed and parts are sourced on time.
• Coordinate with other teams to keep the airport fleet running safely and reliably.
• Be available for overtime and on-call as needed.

To be considered for this role, you will need relevant experience, with as many of the skills listed below as possible. You must also be able to travel to East Midlands Airport daily and be open to occasional overtime.

• An NVQ Level 3 in vehicle maintenance, or an equivalent qualification, is essential.
• Experience in a workshop environment.
• Experience in leading a team essential.
• IOSH Managing Safely (desirable).
• Internal Quality Systems Auditing or equivalent.
• Full clean UK Driving Licence.
• Class 1 or 2 HGV Licence would be an advantage.
• Ability to remain flexible to overtime demands and available for On – Call requirements
• Good communication skills both written and oral.
• Microsoft Office IT Literacy.
